Largest Agenda NY Show Proves a success
Although much smaller in scale than its West Coast show in Long Beach, the 2012 Agenda NYC Show (held on January 23rd and 24th) espoused a more grass-roots, raw & organic tradeshow that is more core to streetwear.
On the show floor, Flexfit set up a lounge/gallery at the front and center. The works of reputable photographers were hung on the gallery alongside some of the most beautiful hats manufactured by Flexfit. Contributing artist were Jason Lee of Brixton, Grady Brannan, Dylan Ozanich and Lucas Farrar of Hygenic. Just like the artworks, Flexfit believes hats are also art pieces and are fundamental to one’s self identity and expression. Flexfit aims to foster growth in communities and cultures that stimulate creativity and originality like those of Agenda. The growth in streetwear is a cultural phenomenon that we must respect. Although some of the brands in streetwear are small, their grassroots efforts are of juggernaut-like force that the youth passionately follow today.
For the Agenda NY show, Flexfit partnered with Mitchell & Ness, Primitive and Agenda to create 3 limited edition show caps that were high in demand, but low in supply. These hats were the highlights of the show as many were clamoring to get their hands on one.
