Flexfit Supports Harlem RBI's 2011 Bids for Kids Gala

Flexfit is proud to support Harlem RBI, an organization dedicated to the well-being of the inner-city youth in the East Harlem Community. This year, Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter school have teamed up to throw an annual gala known as Bids for Kids 2011. On June 6, 2011, more than 750 of Harlem RBI’s supporters will gather to raise more than $2million through a VIP cocktail hour, dinner and live auction. The proceeds will be used to further Harlem RBI’s goals of enriching the lives of our youth in less fortunate communities so that they can become well-standing citizens.  [Click here for ticket information - http://harlemrbi.org/images/stories/b4k_2011_onesheet_rd1.pdf ]

2011 marks the 20th anniversary of Harlem RBI, and Flexfit has donated custom-made caps to support its cause.  This year, honorees for the gala include Howard W. Lutnick (CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald – BGC Partners) and Mark Teixeira (First Baseman of the New York Yankees), while the honorary chair will be Allan H. Selig (Commissioner of Major League Baseball).

Harlem RBI is a non-profit organization based in East Harlem New York and it provides educational and enrichment activities that help raise the standards of living for youth in inner-cities. The organization offers several programs for youth that include teaching values of teamwork, diversity and critical thinking through sports, programs and seminars. Harlem RBI supports age groups from 6 to 21 years old. Past honorees include many high-profile figures such as Brian Cashman (General Manager of the New York Yankees), Carlos Beltran (New York Mets Centerfielder), Donald J. Truesdale (Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co,) and many more.
